Are you passionate about learning, development and helping others reach their potential? We have a new position available within our Goldman Sachs University team covering our Engineering space within the Human Capital Management (HCM) division.  We’re looking for a professional to join our Goldman Sachs University team who wants to use their skills and ideas to help our engineers grow, develop and improve their performance at the firm.

The Goldman Sachs University team in HCM oversees learning and development initiatives and programming for the firm. We educate our people on our culture, orient new hires, help people design their career paths, provide opportunities for technical skill development, build awareness of diversity, and develop new and experienced managers and leaders.  

 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Work with our global team to design and deliver development initiatives targeted to the engineering population at the firm
  • Partner closely with HCM colleagues (Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Talent Assessment, Talent Development) to define and prioritize evolving development needs of engineers across businesses and regions
  • Incorporate blended and online learning into development approaches
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, monitoring success of initiatives, optimizing the approach and reporting to key stakeholders
  • Bring an innovative approach to learning and development for technical talent
  • Plan and execute marketing of learning opportunities with support from Engineering leadership
  • Explore, evaluate and implement new learning tools and platforms
  • Help shape a growth mindset and continual development culture across the Engineering teams
  • Identify technical skill gaps in current talent base required to succeed in the future (e.g. Machine Learning, new programing languages)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Conceptual thinker and problem solver with ability to transform abstract ideas into tangible learning solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Comfort presenting to audiences at all levels, senior and junior
  • Excellent project management and execution skills; strong detail orientation; strong analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment and prioritize appropriately
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in Technology space preferred
  • Strong sense of urgency, client focused, commercial, and service oriented
  • Preference for a minimum of 4+ years related experience, familiarity with L&D
  • Ability to influence and direct stakeholders
