Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in Irving, TX. Support the Firm’s Private Wealth Management business through the servicing of loans made to high net worth individuals. Responsibilities include: Review credit agreements and amendments to extract loan details for entry into Firm systems. Perform all loan servicing related transactions such as drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, payoffs, and terminations for a portfolio of 400+ loans. Communicate with Private Lending middle office, sales teams and other internal Goldman Sachs groups to resolve transactional issues and to collaborate on process and product enhancements and improvements. Generate and review invoices, statements and ad-hoc reports for the client and internal business partners. Review daily exception reporting and resolve any outstanding items pertaining to assigned portfolio. Lead and/or participate in self-initiated, division-led or business led projects that improve efficiency or increase control via implementation of new systems/system enhancements. Complete Regulatory Reporting requirements by analyzing and verifying loan data, and furnishing supporting evidences to Fed Auditors.
Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or equivalent) in an analytical field such as Finance, Accounting, Liberal Arts. 2.5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related finance position. Prior experience must include: Trade settlement experience and product knowledge in loans to evaluate trade booking, facilitate settlement and perform reconciliation; Accounting skills to perform in depth reconciliation processes to balance books and records to mitigate exposure risks; Problem solving and analytical skills pertaining to identification and resolution of entry error and/or system generated issues; Experience with application/software enhancement processes, including producing test scripts, coordinating testing activities, and analyzing post production implementation; Experience with billing workflows, including verification of interest and fee calculations and payment receipts and booking; Experience with basic collateral monitoring and reporting; Experience in assisting on preparation and monitoring of daily and monthly client reporting requirements; Utilizing knowledge of attributes of varying loan types, i.e. committed revolver, demand revolver, term; Using standard Microsoft tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint to track volumes, workflow, and projects including utilizing Pivot tables to manage large datasets, and V-looks ups, to minimize manual processes and efficiently manage risk; Identifying risks inherent in daily business process and driving initiatives to design controls to mitigate risk while seeking efficient Straight-Through-Processing (STP) workflows; Conducting root cause analysis to determine a solution to problems caused by errors in complex business logic; Balancing a wide variety of tasks, prioritizing them appropriately, and escalating as needed to a wider audience to ensure correct action; Utilizing client service skills to effectively manage unique client requests and communicate operational requirements and procedures in a high pace and demanding environment; Working with financial regulations and their impact to financial reference data.
