    Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, TX

     

    Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, TX. Assist in the preparation of federal tax returns for a number of the Firm’s domestic and international partnerships and corporate subsidiaries. Prepare electronic working papers that support the information reported on the various tax returns described above. Interact with our Controllers group and other interfacing areas of the Firm to obtain information required to calculate and properly report taxable income and complete required tax forms, statements and disclosures. Prepare various calculations in accordance with ASC 740 (Accounting Standards Codification) and FIN 48 (Financial Accounting Standards Board or FASB No. 48), as well as other calculations used for firmwide tax planning. Interact with the Internal Revenue Service, including responding to inquiries and providing relevant support for audits. Work with tax planning on entity formation and restructuring, in the capacity of registering entities with U.S. tax authorities, maintaining tax basis and advising on tax implications.   

     

    Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: working with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes), FIN 48 (Financial Accounting Standards Board or FASB No. 48), the Internal Revenue Code and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; preparing and completing various federal tax forms, such as F1065, F1120, F8865, F8858, and F5471; preparing workpapers and other associated calculations used to determine the effective tax rate (ETR) for the firm’s financial statements; IRS practice and procedures in order to effectively deal with audit requests and other inquiries; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as working experience with tax systems, such as GoSystems, Corptax, and OneSource.
