    Design, engineer, deploy & lifecycle manage the firm’s voice, multimedia systems, messaging platforms, desktop and productivity apps including; MS Exchange, perimeter gateways, MS Office, Outlook, Visio, Google docs, Trader voice platforms, call manager and Telepresence. The group ensures the resiliency, optimization, security and protection of our systems and the delivery and management of the firm’s robust product groups.

We are looking for a senior IT professional to join our global support team for our EMEA regional offices. A successful applicant will work in a dynamic environment with all the latest technologies, eager to learn and grow within Goldman Sachs.

     

    OUR IMPACT

     

    Our global Technology teams provide support for our diverse business units. Our Frankfurt office has currently over 250 end users and is growing. The Onsite Delivery Teams are the face of Technology within Goldman Sachs working with all our Workplace desktop technologies, telephony, mobile access solutions and keeping the firm connected through multimedia conferencing.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    • Lead the local Client Response Service team for hardware break fix, troubleshooting and provisioning work
    • Lead the technology part of our relocation project to our new Frankfurt office
    • Ability to stream line processes and deliver best in class services to support the planned growth of the German entities
    • Manage relationships and integrate with your counterparts globally
    • Exposure will be spread across all areas in Technology Infrastructure and Application Development. This will range from Network, Server, Operating Systems, Infrastructure Services and Programming Languages to telephone/turret systems
    • Deliver key results to senior management and address corresponding queries
    • Conduct detailed problem tracking, resolutions and completion of all actions and issues by their deadlines

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Skills are required across a broad range of technology infrastructure as well as development tools
    • Manage and develop a team of technologists
    • Ability to drive change and stream line processes
    • Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
    • Language Skills: Fluent in English and German both oral and written
    • Proficiency in using Windows\Linux and Apple operating systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Proficiency with provisioning and troubleshooting different desktop hardware, including monitors and Cisco voice products
    • Exposure to network troubleshooting skills
    • Comfortable dealing with people at all levels within an organization
    • Strong ability to remain focused under pressure
    • Good documentation skills
    • 4-year Bachelor's degree or international equivalent
    • 6+ years of experience as a technologist within the financial services industry preferably in an infrastructure or support area
    • Understanding of the Technology Concepts and System Development Life Cycle fundamentals
    • Good analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Ability to coordinate activities with multiple interdependencies
    • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team and collaboration oriented environment
    • Must demonstrate considerable energy, focus, drive and a sense of urgency

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience managing setup of multimedia events including video conferences
    • Experience of Citrix or VMware
    • Experience of Linux
    • Experience supporting, setting up and encryption of laptops
    • Demonstrated client service focus and ability to build relationships across different levels, functions and regions
    • Results oriented - ability to balance multiple, projects and tasks
    • Understanding of Investment Banking Business and Financial concepts, products and services
