In Internal Audit, we ensure that Goldman Sachs maintains effective controls by assessing the reliability of financial reports, monitoring the firm’s compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions. Our group has unique insight on the financial industry and its products and operations. We’re looking for detail-oriented team players who have an interest in financial markets and want to gain insight into the firm’s operations and control processes.

Global Internal Audit started our Agile transformation journey this year and we are seeking a Executive Director / Vice President to lead the establishment of our Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) under IA COO office.  The primary mission of the Agile CoE is to propel and sustain our transformation – we want to make the Agile way of working part of our audit processes. The Agile CoE will provide Agile coaching and structural support for audit teams and leadership, will maintain and execute a roadmap for our Agile journey, and recommend a prioritization of continuous improvements to key stakeholders with a focus on empowering teams, transparency and contributing to a collaborative culture focused on increasing the value generated by teams.

In this role you will work closely with Audit leadership, IA Policies Group, our outside consulting partner(s), and other Goldman Sachs businesses and the external Agile audit community to design and implement our Agile CoE.  This role will include refining strategic objectives around Agile, governance across multiple stakeholders, as well as tactical execution.  You will work in close collaboration with our agile coaching team and internal leaders in meeting our goals.  You will serve as the main point of contact and establish best practices for coaching operations (including related expectations, communications, resource planning, etc.), and enable coaching capabilities and an Agile mindset and resources across the department.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 8-10+ years’ experience with exposure to audit and/or agile processes, and people development
  • Related professional certifications desirable but not required
  • Familiarity with Internal Audit’s agile transformation and related roles and processes, as well as central operational practices, is expected

We are looking for a collaborative, positive, enthusiastic, pragmatic servant leader who demonstrates creativity and innovative thinking, adaptability and agility, is passionate and/or knowledgeable about our work as well as Agile trends, and can synthesize and communicate information across a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to develop and execute on strategic as well as tactical aspects of transformation initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaboration practices, and influence skills
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in an environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to coach members of senior and extended leadership team to create an Agile mindset and influence behavior
  • Experience identifying systemic issues impeding an organization's progress and collaborating to solve
  • Thought leadership, planning and collaboration skills - work constructively with others to achieve team goals
  • Be open, transparent, and available to enable associates to reach out to have questions resolved or get clarification and support in implementing Agile
  • Ability to support our Agile coaches by providing strategic guidance, mentoring, issue escalation and resolution, and thought partnership
  • Strong passion for the ongoing development of CoE members and coaches
  • Fluent in use of Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
