    In Private Wealth Management (PWM), we help our clients pursue their wealth management goals through careful advice, astute investment management and access to the capabilities and network of Goldman Sachs. We work closely with high-net-worth individuals, families and select foundations and endowments to develop wealth and investment management strategies. We then identify investment opportunities to help them reach their objectives. We complement these services with robust execution capabilities and attentive client service. Where appropriate, we introduce our clients to the broader network and resources of Goldman Sachs. 


    The PWM Marketing Team develops and implements a holistic marketing strategy that delivers the full value of the GS network and expertise to clients, generates new business by expanding our reach and frequency of interactions with clients and prospective clients, and builds brand equity by raising the visibility of PWM and amplifying engagement efforts, both locally and globally.  We are seeking an Associate or Vice President who is a forward-thinking professional marketer, understands the ultra high-net-worth marketplace and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.



    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.



    Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond


    Job Summary & Responsibilities

    This candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic marketing strategy for PWM including:


    • Building an integrated marketing program to support the PWM business through content, communications, media, events and amplification efforts
    • Developing and deploying an integrated and powerful brand strategy that reflects the PWM value proposition
    • Managing large-scale marketing campaigns, from strategic planning and content development, to execution, evaluation and follow up
    • Creating and packaging PWM expertise and thought leadership that can be shared with clients, prospective clients and the informed public
    • Partnering with Media Relations to amplify events and content and raise the profile of PWM through various internal and external channels
    • Identifying opportunities to enhance current end-to-end client experience via marketing initiatives (for example: client onboarding, product launches, access to select VIP perks, etc.)
    • Building a targeted marketing strategy showcasing our specialized expertise catered to certain client segments (e.g. women clients)
    • Developing and implementing an evaluation / analytics framework to measure impact and demonstrate ROI
    • Overseeing a cohesive internal communication strategy so that relevant information is appropriately cascaded throughout the organization
    • Developing and maintaining broad knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends and industry developments specific to private wealth management
    • Partnering with regional management and advisors to ensure targeted strategies for client engagement and new business development is resonating


    Required qualifications:

    • Strong marketing skills in both strategy and execution
    • Superior communication and writing skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story
    • Ability to quickly assess audience and tailor products, campaigns and communications accordingly
    • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to think proactively
    • Ability to challenge, influence and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought and can be executed well
    • Self-motivated and driven, someone looking for a steep growth curve
    • Able to assimilate new experiences and learn very quickly
    • Demonstrable track record of working effectively with several teams: private wealth advisor teams, client content specialists, events team, legal, compliance, etc.
    • Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards
    • Good judgment and discretion
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Graduate degree in marketing, preferred
    • 5 – 8 years of experience in financial services or a related industry serving wealthy clients
    • Prior experience marketing to ultra high-net-worth clientele, preferred
    • In-depth knowledge of the private wealth management business and clientele, a plus
