    GLOBAL COMPLIANCE

     

    Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct data analysis and testing of external vendors
    • Perform certain targeted loan level testing on external vendor loan data utilizing testing scripts to evaluate vendor compliance with firm and industry standards, applicable regulations and contractual requirements
    • Work with Compliance colleagues in defining, developing and implementing standards, best practices and controls for monitoring risk
    • Produce detailed reports of management defined exceptions and/ or risks identified
    • Collaborate closely with Vendor Relationship Owners within each business unit of the firm to discuss identified risks and remediation timelines,
    • Improve operational efficiencies through using technology available within the firm

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3+ years work experience in banking, compliance, auditing, and/ or consumer loan servicing
    • Strong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to develop and manage relationships
    • Solid analytical/ logical mindset attention to detail and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment in a highly regulated environment with aggressive deadlines
    • Knowledge of regulations governing the consumer banking industry a plus
    • Experience in compliance monitoring is a plus
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills
    • Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Ability to adapt to new changes and challenges in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to prioritize workflows, meet deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize observations and present in a clear, concise manner to peers, managers and senior Consumer Compliance management
    • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements in various areas of quality control and testing practices
    • Ability to work independently while simultaneously contributing to the team
    • Proficiency in Excel (pivots, VLookups) and PowerPoint
