    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world.     YOUR IMPACT We’re looking for a professional to join our Retail Sales team as a Vice President / Executive Director in our Frankfurt office.



    Investment Management Division We’re a team of trusted advisors who provide innovative investment solutions to help our clients meet their financial goals. From private wealth to asset management, we work with specialists and groups from around the firm to help high-net-worth individuals and institutions across various industries navigate changing markets and make smart investments. We value self-starters with an entrepreneurial spirit, but still provide the support and resources to ensure your success. Retail distribution primarily targets individuals through private banks, insurance companies and multi family offices. These third parties make GSAM solutions available to retail and institutional investors through a variety of investment vehicles including: mutual funds, separate accounts, and alternative products. Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) delivers innovative investment solutions through a global, multi-product platform that offers clients the advantages that come with working with a large firm, while maintaining the benefits of a boutique. GSAM is one of the pre-eminent investment management organizations globally. Critical to the success of GSAM is our ability to leverage a global team of talented professionals to define solutions and lead change across the operational infrastructure. GSAM has over 1,500 distributors of our mutual funds spanning 60,000+ investment advisor relationships with over 4 million individual retail accounts. Distribution is responsible for selling GSAM products and services both directly to institutions and, through third party channels, to markets around the world. GSAM applies insights and risk management expertise to help institutional and individual investors with their financial goals. We focus on building and maintaining long-term client relationships and managing client assets using our core strengths of insight, ability and responsibility. We are seeking to hire a Vice President level sales person to be based in Germany This individual will help to increase assets and revenues by promoting and distributing GSAM funds. The candidate will have direct client responsibility and will travel to client sites and/or attending and organizing client events



    Role Responsibilities

    • Identify client needs and suggest GSAM product offerings and marketing strategies
    • Provide sales and marketing ideas to financial advisors to help strengthen our client relationships
    • Establish, maintain and deepen relationships with clients (by phone and in person)
    • Present to smaller and larger groups of advisors our GSAM product offering
    • Keep up-to-date with the markets and GSAM products


    Basic Qualifications

    • Fluent in German and English language (written and oral proficiency) essential
    • Previous relevant experience in Asset Management ideally in a sales role
    • University degree or equivalent combined with relevant financial service industry experience
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and solid presentation skills
    • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic
    • Good commercial instincts
    • Attention to detail plus excellent organisational skills
    • Ability to maintain consistent travel schedule
