Our core value is building strong relationships with our institutional clients, which include corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. We help them buy and sell financial products on exchanges around the world, raise funding, and manage risk. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for the markets, with individuals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments and are energized by a bustling trading floor.

    Team Overview:

The Capital Introduction team is involved in every stage of the hedge fund lifecycle, working with both start-ups and established funds. We are responsible for consulting to hedge fund clients on their market positioning and overall fundraising strategy. In addition to hedge funds, the Capital Introduction team has the unique responsibility of managing relationships with the world’s leading institutional investors. We interface with self-directed hedge fund investors including pensions, foundations, endowments, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and the advisors/intermediaries who work with these groups. These formative investor relationships allow us to introduce our hedge fund clients to differentiated pools of capital throughout their fundraising process. Given the depth of industry relationships and experience, the team is viewed as being at the forefront of the latest trends and themes impacting the hedge fund industry.

Capital Introduction sits within the Prime Services business, which provides financing, securities lending, and other services (e.g., securities clearance and settlement, asset servicing reporting and technology, risk management tools) to hedge fund clients. The team is global and this position is based in New York at 200 West Street, Goldman Sachs’ headquarters.
