    CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)

    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Job Summary & Responsibilities

     

    The GSAM Nordic Team is responsible for business, solution & product development for new and our existing institutional client base. Clients include insurance companies, pension funds, financial institutions, foundations and endowments across Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. This role will be based in either in Copenhagen or Stockholm.


    Principal Responsibilities include:

    • Be responsible for institutional business and clients in either Sweden, Finland or Norway across asset classes and client type
    • Be able to deliver content driven advice to some of the most sophisticated clients globally
    • Expanding existing relationships by delivering superior relationship management and client service.
    • A deep understanding of clients in particular around ESG, asset allocation, alternatives and QIS.  
    • Developing deep relationships with stakeholders at all levels within our clients’ organizations, as well as external advisors, in order to understand clients’ objectives, structural, portfolio, investment and information need.
    • Developing relationships across various GSAM product teams, including Fixed Income & Currency, Equity, Quantitative Strategies, Alternative Investments, Global Portfolio Solutions, as well as other functions such as risk & performance, legal, compliance and operations, and acting as the clients’ access point to these areas.
    • Delivering the best of Goldman Sachs to our clients through senior management engagement, events, information provision, training and connectivity with broader firm initiatives and teams.
    • Client meetings and events.
    • Managing longer term projects related to changes in client mandates (e.g. portfolio restructuring or guideline amendments) or applicable regulation (e.g. Dodd-Frank, EMIR, UCITS or AIFMD).
    • Working on special projects that build out the service model and infrastructure needed to create scale and efficiencies within the client function.
    • Developing junior members of the team through formal training and informal mentoring.

     

    Basic Qualifications

    • Fluency (written and oral proficiency) in one of the Nordic languages is required.
    • Track record and experience from either asset management, private equity, markets/security division or banking in a client facing, product or investment role (does not need to be asset management).
    • University degree or equivalent combined with financial industry experience.
    •  A good understanding of fundamental and quantitative investment strategies including global fixed income & currency, equity, QIS and alternative investment strategies.
    • Good understanding of investment funds and separately managed accounts.
    • A good understanding of portfolio construction, risk management or accounting principles would be beneficial.
    • Project management and organisational skills, detail orientation.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, developer of others
    • Motivated professional with strong work ethic
    • Strong commercial acumen
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
