    CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)

     

    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

    The CIMD Digital Investing Team is developing technology to extend its investment capabilities to a wide range of customers in an automated and scalable way. We design and build tools that are transforming the investing experience and extending our services to new client segments. We are a product driven team, composed of talented and passionate product managers, designers, and engineers working to change the landscape of investment management.

    Are you looking to apply your effective communication skills to express original ideas and enhance our product’s advisor and user experience? We are looking for a UX Copywriter to convert the strategic vision and product functionality into relatable, digestible language for advisors, as well as for prospective and existing clients. This individual is required to fully embrace understanding our clients, their needs and wants, plus the details of the financial product being offered. We want a highly motivated, energetic individual ready to contribute to new consumer experiences at a rapid pace while working in a highly regulated environment. We are looking for copywriters who want to make large-scale, complex investment and financial guidance concepts more intuitive, simple, and easy to understand. We know that the success of our team depends on our ability to deliver exceptional user experiences, and we need writers who can collaborate with designers, developers, product managers, and individuals across our legal and compliance franchise to bring them to life. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Writing user experience product copy and related content, translating complex financial information into simple and comprehensible language
    • Create product voice and tone framework and help to define content strategy for the product in partnership with Design & Brand Leadership
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders (design, product managers, business SME’s, legal and compliance)
    • Follow industry-related news and incorporate into the product language
    • Provide suggestions on new ways to approach problems

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in product copy and related content
    • Ability to demonstrate your versatile writing style: from funny to informative, from consumer to organizational, with a strong understanding of brand, voice, and tone
    • Excellent editing skills with acute attention to quality and style
    • Familiarity and intellectual curiosity about financial markets
    • Organized, reliable and able to consistently meet aggressive deadlines
    • Collaborative spirit, strong interpersonal skills, and strong ability to cultivate relationships with colleagues, partners, and other content producers
    • Comfort juggling a variety of tasks with limited supervision
    • Self-starter who see gaps and provide solutions
    • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like AEM
    • Basic understanding of HTML and web publishing
    • Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools
    • Awareness of social media usage for business purposes
    • Experience in project management and research is a plus
