    OPERATIONS

     

    Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Job Summary & Responsibilities:

     

    Sydney SDO team includes Middle Office and Settlement teams. The Settlement team locally is responsible for settlement of cash equity securities and fixed income products for the ASX and NZX traded by all GS entities, as well as MO support across asset classes including FX, Structured Products, Futures and Equities. Tasks include:-

     

    • Day to day risk management and ongoing strategic review of operational support model.
    • People management and performance evaluation
    • Desk engagement and support
    • Client relationship management - working closely with offshore teams to provide seamless client services for local clients across asset classes.
    • Managing ECM flow in the assistance of the Syndicate Execution desk

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    • General knowledge of cash equity/fixed income/Derivative products
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong managerial skills
    • Strong technical / analytical skills – able to identify and resolve complex beaks/issues
    • Self-motivated, driven and strong team player

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge in a number of; SecDB, Liberty, Hydra, Corona, Costar, GPS, TSETT, Harmony
    • Prior experience in another global office in a SDO / CSS role
