Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.
Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.
The Margin Lending Group, within Margin, Collateral and Valuations Operations is responsible for margin risk monitoring supporting the Private Wealth Management (PWM) and Global Security Services (GSS) businesses. The successful candidate will work within a team focusing on monitoring margin exposure for the related accounts. This will involve interacting with Business Partners including Credit, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Projects across London, New York and Hong Kong.
The Margin Lending group focuses on a combination of day to day operational functions and value added projects and initiatives. From an early stage, we develop and expect our analysts to think creatively and ‘outside the box’ as well as improving the daily process and taking responsibility and ownership for this to happen.
We promote cross training and ensure our Analysts develop a broad level of understanding across the varied departmental functions carried out. You can expect to be given early responsibility and in return you will be expected to contribute your own ideas to make a difference and add value to the group. The role will involve close interaction with other areas of the bank including Credit, Risk and Sales, therefore requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
