    CONSUMER AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CIMD)

    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.

     

    PWM

    Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Responsibilities

    • Core member of Regional Management Team involved in executing and developing strategy to achieve local goals
    • Develop financial models / analytics / metrics to help regional management team measure performance of the business and its growth plan
    • Assist local Regional Head in the overall supervision, management and running of the office
    • Manage, develop and recruit regional office employees, including Private Wealth Advisors, Financial Analysts, Wealth Management Professionals, Financial Investment Professionals, Interns and Administrative Assistants
    • Ensure seamless daily business operations and client experience through close coordination with business partners in Operations, Compliance, Legal, Human Capital Management, Finance and Technology divisions
    • Have a broad understanding of office’s clients and largest prospective client opportunities
    • Perform regulatory supervisory functions for the business
    • Handle office budgeting process, expenses and procurement
    • Manage personnel related issues, including employee training and development, performance reviews, compensation and promotion recommendations, and mentoring
    • Ensure that all employees are in compliance with regulatory requirements, include registrations and series exams
    • Resolve conflicts inter/intra-office
    • Assist teams with strategically optimizing effectiveness and efficiency through best practice sharing and business planning
    • Manage resource allocation decisions across teams
    • Drive or participate in regional / global projects

    Skills/Experience

    • Self-starter who takes ownership and can lead/manage projects independently
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationships; confidence to work closely with senior management
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
    • Highly organized and process oriented with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through
    • Results-oriented: ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, handling multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered
    • Good judgment and discretion, with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and care
    • Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
    • Teamwork orientation
    • People and Project Management experience a plus
    • Financial industry experience a plus
    • Bachelor’s Degree required
