    Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) is the investment management arm of the firm. As a leading player in the asset management world, GSAM makes pioneering industry improvements a priority across all of its sectors. The Trade Management team has primary responsibility of mitigating risk throughout all aspects of trade flow, settlement, and collateral management.


    YOUR IMPACT

    Are you looking to expand your understanding of financial products and be well versed on the life cycle of a trade? Our Trade Management team is seeking a professional who is looking to collaborate with traders, portfolio managers and external counterparties to ensure all trades are communicated, confirmed, and settled to safeguard our clients and funds.



    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

    • Risk manage confirmation and settlement for all trades executing in APAC including but not limited to Equities, Fixed Income, FX, IRS. Resolution and escalation of all trade discrepancies and queries.
    • Maintain accurate and clean post settlement work-flows - breaks, fails, etc
    • Extensive liaison with external counterparties including Japanese Trust Banks, Global Custodians and Brokers. Pro-actively working to reduce discrepancies and streamline sub-optimal processes.
    • Partner with internal teams, Sales , Trading, Technology and other Operations teams to increase our product scope and business facilitation.
    • Design and initiate process improvements with thorough understanding of the teams' processes and controls
    • Grow with the team; constantly challenging the status quo.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of  4-6 years of professional experience within a Financial Institution.
    • Japanese and English Language proficiency is mandatory.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong appreciation of client service.
    • Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to work well under pressure in a team environment. 
    • Established strong relationship skills with internal and external stakeholders including Japanese Trust Banks
    • Analytical skills and interest in developing problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to use discretion and good judgment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Operations or related field Risk and Control focused
    • Working knowledge of Financial products from an Operational perspective.
