    Listed Clearing Engineering is accountable for platform advancement to meet the evolving needs of the global business via rapid software deployment. You will build partnerships with our stakeholders across Trading, Sales, Operations and Engineering to implement effective and creative solutions. Our team is starting a significant program to re-architect our systems that process over 250 million transactions annually across more than 100 global markets.

    The team is distributed across Salt Lake City, New York, Bengaluru, London, and Singapore with a diverse set of people, skills and ideas. You will collaborate as part the team, form strong relationships in a fast-paced environment, continually learn and grow your skills.     You will directly impact the bottom line of the business through your development & deployment of the new platform, automated testing and increasing the STP rate. As a member of our team you will work closely with the securities business and technical colleagues to solve complex technical problems and contribute to commercially-effective technical solutions of evolving business requirements. Effective problem-solving through communication and a highly-developed analytical and technical skillset are essential to your success. Our technology stack built mainly on Java, RESTful services, Database, Big data technologies and proprietary technologies. A willing and enthusiastic attitude toward mastering the necessary technical skills, as well as toward forming a detailed understanding of the Clearing  flows you will work with, are key requirements of the role.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

     

    How will you fulfill your potential?

    • Design, build and maintain high-performance, high-availability, high-capacity platforms for front to back clearing and trade processing functions
    • Understand market and client behavior, regulations, front to back business and Operations functions
    • Work closely with Trading, Sales, Operations, Engineering teams to define behavior, functionality and expected outcomes for the products under development
    • Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across regions
    • Support the production environment, assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents, and maintain the stability and integrity of systems.

     

     

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Core Java development experience (solid understanding of Core Java concepts and Design Patterns). Similar expertise with equivalent object oriented languages also considered (e.g. C++/C#). Desire to build strong and efficient SDLC practices.
    • 5+ years RDBMS experience (Sybase or UDB preferred - able to write and analyze complex queries with multi-table joins and aggregate functions)
    • 5+ years OO design/development
    • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a hands-on experience of debugging and optimizing code, as well as automation
    • Strong interpersonal skills and drive. Excellent communication skills required, able to contribute to discussions on design and strategy.
