    CIMD Operations partners within the CIMD Division and across the firm to deliver comprehensive capabilities, solutions and operational excellence in support of the Firm’s global consumer, wealth and asset management businesses. Change Management & Business Intelligence (CMBI) is the team in CIMD responsible for managing global change initiatives for the Division. CMBI is comprised of four distinct functions: Organization Design, Change Delivery, Testing Center of Excellence, and Business Intelligence. The Testing Center of Excellence is responsible for developing, planning, and executing comprehensive software user acceptance testing (UAT) in support of key programs and projects within CIMD. Typical projects span a range of areas including business expansion, digitization, automation, risk & control, and regulatory compliance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure automation consistency for build verification tests and regular regression execution
    • Leverage knowledge of system architecture and all related components to define and develop “Shift Left” automation solutions
    • Design and execute tests associated with micro/web services and APIs
    • Work with Test Automation Architect to enforce "design for testability" guidelines/guiding principles within Value Stream / ART
    • Support and contribute to the Agile Release Train (ART)/Value Stream Test Automation goals
    • Participating in design and code reviews, refactor code as needed to meet evolving design standards, participate in or lead engineering process improvements
    • Identify opportunities for automation across various phases of software testing life cycle and coordinate on data, virtualization of test environments to support phase level (unit, component, integration) testing
    • Liaise with App Dev, Test Engineer, Test Data Engineer, Environment Engineer, and Non-Functional Engineer to understand opportunities & constraints with Automation
    • Participate in Sprint level test planning and technical meetings with Value Stream System team members across areas (Architecture, Product Owner, App Dev, Testing)
    • Hold periodic quality review meetings with Value Stream/ART representatives and System teams to discuss bottlenecks, process failures, and other roadblocks
    • Liaise with the Value Stream Architects and Test Engineers to discuss the current state and identify continuous improvement opportunities and dependencies in Value Stream level Quality Engineering process
    • Manage Defect calls and conduct root cause analysis of defects found in different stages of testing
    • Provide support to team lead to create JIRA dashboards
    • Responsible for understanding the current automated test coverage to provide realistic estimations
    • Responsible for developing remediation plans for KPIs/KRIs related to quality and speed
    • Coordinate with other Quality Engineers across ART/Value Streams to understand areas outside of competency and share information regarding common themes, new solutions, automation, etc.
    • Perform testing process impact analysis to understand the effects of newly implemented processes and tools meant to improve efficiencies
    • Utilize development skills, data manipulation skills and scripting skills to engineer technical, repeatable tests
    • Undertake all forms of functional and non-functional testing
    • Coordinate automation testing activities of your team and others

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent
    • At least 3 years’ experience working in an Agile delivery environment. Experience working with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Business Driven Development (BDD) is preferred
    • At least 3 years working experience within agile development teams with a BDD approach and supporting the developers to quality assure developments early
    • Setting up frameworks and standards, manage all the automation setup activities
    • Report on testing progress and strategy and provide interpretation and insight on progress to inform management to take decisions
    • Working understanding of Wealth management and/or banking domain
    • Familiarity with various software technologies, methodologies and applied software engineering practices/standards such as OOD, App Servers, REST, and Spring
    • A strong passion for quality, high level of attention to detail, and the proven ability to solve complex technical challenges
    • Extensive experience applying Quality Engineering techniques across the SDLC to improve the quality of systems and enable the ability to deliver quality at speed
    • Experience with configuring build tools, CI/CD pipeline is a plus
    • Experience writing, maintaining and executing automation tests using frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium or similar

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

    • 3 plus years of test automation using Cucumber test automation tool and Gherkin scripting language
    • Experience with Test Design optimization tools like CA ARD, Hexawise or similar
    • Must have Skill Set -> Java, Selenium BDD, Cucumber, Gherkin, Jasmine test framework, Web Services REST
    • Understanding of how to manufacture and manage test data in an enterprise-class development environment
    • Experience /knowledge of test data management tools and ETL tools
    • Proficient in usage of JIRA and JIRA plugins for test management functions
    • Familiarity with development build and deployment environment (e.g. Maven, Gradle, Github, Jenkins)
    • Should have an experience in CI/CD
    • 3 plus years of Java or equivalent Development experience
    • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and asynchronous architecture
    • Working understanding of SQL and stored procedures
    • Service support – the use of DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts to lead an effective support operation
    • Relevant industry certification such as, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CBCP, ITIL, ISTQB, PMP or other specialized IT certifications

    • Proactive, enthusiastic approach with very high attention to detail
    • Highly collaborative, flexible, and team-focused with ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
