    The Loan Management team is a business unit within the Securities division, primarily supporting the Mortgage Loan Trading and Structured Finance desks.  The team is a multi-faceted diligence and asset management platform specializing in whole loan acquisition, sales, securitizations, and financing opportunities. The Loan Management team has product expertise across mortgages, consumer loans, real estate and warehouse financing.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Coordination and tracking of post trade settlement contractual obligations
    • Analysis and tracking within proprietary databases of curative efforts, supporting documentation, responsible party, obligation timelines, repurchase referral, internal decisioning, and exception statuses
    • Coordinate and reconcile counterparty obligations with internal Transaction Managers, Asset Managers and external servicers to ensure timely delivery of trailing post settlement exceptions
    • Mitigate post trade settlement risk


    Loan Management is seeking an Analyst | Associate that will assist Transaction Management in facilitating post settlement execution of client contractual obligations (at both the deal and asset levels) of residential whole loan acquisitions. The Analyst | Associate will ensure completion of post-closing requirements and adhere to departmental, divisional and Firmwide policies.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Collaborate with Transaction Manager(s),Trading Desk on contractual obligations and agreed upon post-settlement exceptions and timelines (inclusive of determining responsibility and preparing data files and materials for third-party partners and clients)
    • Work closely with the internal Loan Management teams to identify and document exceptions, responses and decisions. In addition to assisting with determining resolutions/potential cures
    • Ensure cure efforts meet agreed upon timelines and collaborate with repurchase team to properly and timely demand counterparties where applicable
    • Assist to maintain accurate database information, reporting of loan level conditions, exceptions and data reconciliation to maintain data integrity
    • Support tie-out of final curative processes, documentation and applicable checklist(s)
    • Assist in updating departmental procedures and process documentation


    • Minimum 1-3 years in residential mortgage industry experience, with a familiarity of various mortgage products pertaining to residential mortgage assets
    • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen eye toward attention to detail
    • Must have ability to function in a fast-paced environment, manage deadlines
    • Ability to organize, analyze and interpret legal and compliance related materials
    • Outstanding initiative, excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
    • Strong self-confidence, good judgment, and sound problem solving skills
    • Experience in coordinating internal/external clients, third-party vendor partners, other departmental and divisional teams, and senior managers
    • Advanced proficiencies in MS Excel, SQL proficiency a plus
    • Capital Markets experience a plus; knowledge and experience of whole loan bulk and conduit residential loan acquisitions and sales
