Regulatory, Controls and Strategic - Change management team is seeking a professional who is looking to collaborate with an ever changing cadre of stakeholders to deliver projects ranging from strategic to regulatory and from stability ensuring to revenue generating. You will not only utilize but be able to evolve some of the project management metholdologies like Agile framework and business analysis tools while driving projects to completion on time, on budget, with quality, and high customer satisfaction.

    RCSC- Change management is an embedded project management team within Regulatory and Control Operations that comprises of strategic assets – process, people, tools and best pratcies to govern and deliver end-to-end  implementation of various regulatory requirmeents acorss the globe; delivers highly efficient and effective projects working in close partnership with Technology and other divisions.

     

     

    BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

     

    RCSC group acts as a change management and testing center of excellence for Regulatory Operations in Goldman Sachs.  It plans and executes pan-Operations projects with significant risk and / or strategy implications in partnership with teams throughout Operations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the delivery of cross-obligations, high priority projects across all typical project phases:
      • Project initiation and scoping, including definition of plans and setting/managing realistic expectations for successful delivery with project stakeholders
      • Understanding of the regulatory obligation, perform business analysis and define requirements
      • Partner with respective testing team to plan implementation, in particular user acceptance testing and regression
      • Publish regular artefacts that will help deomstrate traceability including project progress and quality assurance
    • Build and manage strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders in Operations, Technology and the business. Manage competing priorities across these groups
    • Understand the firm’s and Operations’ strategic plans, business, process and architecture in order to influence design and develop solutions
    • Work with Operations business units to assess and streamline processes in order to mitigate risk, cost or service issues and generate efficiencies

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors / Undergraduate Degree
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a business analysis / project management function supporting both business process and technology implementations
    • Demonstrate excellent process and project management skills
    • Ability to engage with, and influence stakeholders outside their direct control
    • Comfortable facilitating project working groups and possesses strong data gathering skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral; confident in interaction with senior stakeholders
    • Strategic thinker with strong business analysis and planning skills. Capable of identifying and interpreting wider-ranging issues: ‘Big picture’ understanding.  Provides creative & innovative solutions.  Ability to formulate the implications of a specific solution across processes, e.g. costs, risk, service
    • Have a proven track record of scoping and driving delivery of projects and achieving results independently, on time and to budget including:
      • Strong analytical skills including process analysis. Very strong interest in the underlying detail of the analysis is a must
      • Ability to design practical solutions
      • Strong organization skills - ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
      • Exemplary attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledge of products and processes related to the financial services industry would be an advantage, as is related experience in technology strategy or in a client service or business function and / or management consulting
    • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of job-related operational and compliance procedures
    • Understands and appropriately addresses Goldman Sachs compliance and reputational judgment issues
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, JIRA7 and SharePoint
    • Exposure to regulatory implementations like Mifid, EMIR, SFTR etc...
