    The Consumer and Investment Management Division includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world.     AIMS: Alternative Investments & Manager Selection

    The Alternative Investments & Manager Selection (AIMS) Group provides investors with investment and advisory solutions, across leading hedge fund managers, private equity funds, real estate managers, and traditional long-on y managers. The AIMS Group manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-fund investments, strategic partnerships, secondary-market investments, co-investments, and seed-capital investments. With over 300 professionals across eight offices around the world, the AIMS Group provides manager diligence, portfolio construction, risk management, and liquidity solutions to investors, drawing on Goldman Sachs market insights and risk management expertise. We extend these capabilities to the world's leading sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations and family offices, for which we invest or advise on over $150 billion. 


    AIMS Long Only is the manager selection business supporting all open architecture activities for the Consumer & Investment Management Division. The team supports private wealth and institutional client channels and works with clients in a consulting, advisory and discretionary capacity across traditional equity and fixed income asset classes. The business covers managers globally and is responsible for curating the traditional investment catalogue for all client channels within the Division.


    AIMS Long Only Business Development Lead – this person will lead all aspects of our long only client solutions efforts and will help grow our traditional open-architecture platform through innovative offerings and enhanced client content. This person will work across all of the client channels that the long only team services and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a framework to translate investment content from the manager research team to sales teams and end clients. The business is looking for a strategic thinker and someone who can execute on key client initiatives. The role will encompass the following:

      • New Business Development
        • Drive commercial engagement across sales channels by partnering with leadership in those channels to identify new products, strategies and vehicles and determine key areas of focus for fundraising by channel
        • Work closely with the investment team leads to curate platform offerings
        • Work closely with the platform management team to launch new funds and strategies for the platform
        • Synthesize competitor intelligence and make suggestions on new products, markets and/or areas for rationalization
        • Serve as key stakeholder in business selection decisions relating to new products, new business lines and new client activity
        • Travel, as needed, to new client / prospect pitches
      • Client Collateral Management
        • Ownership of standard slides and responsible for new ideas on new slide creation, driving the key narratives across platform development and performance
        • Implement new mediums and tools for client engagement (web portal, manager videos, etc.)
        • Help identify ways to translate manager content into thematic research / thought leadership for client consumption
      • Team Responsibilities
        • Help oversee, train and develop the junior team of analysts/associates that are dedicated to the long only business in both NYC and SLC
      • Client Coverage

    Serve as key client PM for larger wealth management client relationships and some institutional relationships; responsible for articulating the AIMS process, manager views and key themes to those clients.
