    GPS

    GPS is a multi-asset class investing group within the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet clients’ investment objectives and constraints.  These solutions offer a tailored menu of strategies and services, including markets expertise, asset allocation, and risk management. GPS is a committed partner to corporate pensions, nonprofits, government institutions, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, and individual investors, and currently manages over $140 billion in assets for a diverse group of clients globally. The team has been constructing and managing multi-asset class portfolios for two decades and is comprised of more than 140 professionals across the Americas, Europe, and Asia

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Roles and Responsibilities 

    As an analyst and a member of GPS, you will be instrumental in managing multi-asset class portfolios for investors across the world. The analyst role is highly analytical, focused on generating market views, developing investment ideas, and managing multi-asset and systematic strategies for client capital with a focus on ensuring consistent execution of investment policy and client objectives

     

    Role Analysts

    • Support portfolio managers in their supervision of portfolios with involvement in portfolio construction and implementation, asset allocation, investment manager / vehicle selection and oversight, risk / performance management and evaluation, and research on investment management products.
    • Work with portfolio managers to develop new strategies that enhance portfolio characteristics
    • Assist in client relationship management and strategic initiatives, including managing client investment needs, competitive analysis, business planning and engagement with clients and sales/distribution channels
    • Support and take an active role in the development of content and literature, including client and prospect presentation books, request for proposals, other investment-related presentations and analyses

    Candidate Requirements 

    • Bachelor's degree is a must; Master's with a specialization in finance or economics or MBA degree preferred; CFA (pursuing) is a plus
    • 1-2 years’ experience in investment analysis or financial research in job that incorporates the skills and experience enumerated below                  
      • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
      • Outstanding writing and communication skills
      • Intelligent, creative, strong problem-solving abilities, demonstrates excellent judgment
      • A self-starter, should have ability to work independently as well as thrive in a team environment
      • Highly organized individual able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
      • Very detail oriented and meticulous, takes ownership of deliverables
      • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
      • Strong interest in the financial markets and a good investment sense/commercial instinct
