Your Impact
This position reports to the Asia Head of Facilities Management and will work closely on the North Asia portfolio (China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan). The position is responsible for the strategic management resources to improve efficiency and economic viability in the operation of owned and leased real estate.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Critical Systems Operations and Risk Management - provide management and strategy oversight in the management of the firm’s facilities and manage the risk toward maintaining 100 % availability
- Ensure the critical MEP infrastructure supporting business operations is operated and maintained to the highest standards of reliability and efficiency and in accordance with the firm’s global engineering policies and procedures for office, trading floors, and data centers
- Manage preventive maintenance programs and insure compliance with maintenance objectives
- Develop metrics and KPIs to track energy performance, capacity utilization, critical systems against operational goals
- Perform site visits as required to evaluate infrastructure conditions related to system design, installation and/or operation.
- Refine and establish monitoring processes for campus infrastructure loads such as: UPS, utility power, and chilled water.
- Develop infrastructure design and operational risk models to assist in right-sizing infrastructure levels to manage risk in a commercial fashion
- Drive design and operational standards to meet current and future requirements for data center and technology spaces
- Manage capacity in data centers, technology spaces and trading environments and support technology change management processes
- Participate in real estate planning, design, development and execution of capital projects
- Work closely with Infrastructure Planning and Engineering to insure the facilities comply with Goldman Sachs risk management and efficiency objectives
- Manage onsite vendors providing facility management critical systems operations services ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the firm’s policies.

- Participate in development and management of annual operations and capital budgets for facilities
- Act as the Facility Management team stakeholder for critical system design and operational requirements for all new construction and expansion activity within critical environments
Incident response/Crisis Management
- Provide crisis management support to identify potential/immediate impacts, restore operational capabilities and institute required safeguards.

OUR IMPACT
The Securities Trade Processing Technology team maintains and develops the post-execution trade processing platform that interface directly with the front office to process firm and customer transactions. Key responsibilities include allocation capture, trade figuration, trade explosion, trade aggregation, reporting of trades to exchanges or other venues, customer confirmation generation & transmission, and booking the completed transactions downstream to the firm’s books & records, and for settlement. A diverse and increasing set of product types are handled by MO systems across cash equities, futures, options, warrants & convertible bonds. In addition, expanding the team’s focus to cover fixed income products is a major focus for the coming year and beyond. The position of Middle Office systems at the heart of the trade flow provides the opportunity to see and understand the entire securities trade flow. There are interactions with technology teams from those looking after trading and sales functions to teams responsible for supporting settlement and maintaining the firm’s books and records. On the technical side, there is a close partnership with the Technology Infrastructure organisation to ensure that the best use is made of hardware and database resources. The strategic Middle Office processing platform is Hydra, a high-throughput, distributed, scalable architecture capable of handling many millions of transactions per day. The team is global, with a tightly integrated structure across teams in Bangalore, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Jersey and London. Developers in different offices frequently collaborate closely on projects or day-to-day issues.

BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW
The primary role of Internal Audit is to help protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the organisation. Internal Audit independently assesses the firm's internal control structure. We provide assurance that financial reporting is reliable, that there is compliance with applicable laws and regulations and that the firm's operations are effectively controlled. We assist management in identifying risk and commercially managing risk by providing advice in developing control solutions and monitoring the implementation of management's control measures.
Internal Audit assists the firm's Board of Directors' Audit Committee in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities and regularly interacts with the external independent auditors. Internal Audit is organised into global teams of business and technology auditors:
- Securities - covers the Firm's Sales, Trading and Insurance businesses; including related supporting control functions such as Operations, Technology, Product Control and Divisional Compliance.
- Investment Banking - covers the firm's banking activities and Global Investment Research operations.
- Investment Management - covers the firm's Private Wealth Management, Asset Management and Merchant Banking businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in / lead planning and scoping reviews. This will involve meeting relevant stakeholders to understand and walk through the business and technology processes to identify the key risks and controls to be assessed.
- Participate in preparation of the audit testing program and assessment of the adequacy of the design and operation of the controls associated with the key risks identified.
- Assess the risk and impact of the issues identified on reviews and assist with production of the report to management.
- Follow up with clients on remediation of actions coming out of issues identified during audits.
- Engage in ad hoc work on firmwide projects around new processes or activities and investigation of incidents.

The IBD Engineering team is responsible for development and support of systems used by the flagship Investment Banking Division to execute M&A and financing companies through debt and equity offerings such as Bond New Issuances and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). The Technology, Intellectual Property & Contracts Group in Legal-Americas is seeking a paralegal to work with the team that manages technology law and intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis on trademark prosecution.
The paralegal will work with both in-house and external counsel, the various areas within Legal and other contacts throughout the firm’s global businesses.

Skills/Experience:• Experience in development in Core Java, J2EE, Java Server Pages (JSP), Servlet, Spring, Struts • Experience in relational database. IBM UDB preferred (additional Sybase experience a plus).• Unix/Linux experience.• Experience in development of financial application preferred.• Experience with integrated unit testing tools/concepts is a plus.• Strong technical analysis skills.• Strong team player with good communication skills.• Minimum 3-5 years of experience• Exposure to C, C++, C#, ASP, ASP.NET a plus
