The Electronic Trading Platform function operates in partnership with Securities Engineering and Platform Engineering teams. It is responsible for the design, development and support of infrastructure solutions for low-latency colocation environments as well as other specialized requirements in Securities Division defined client facing zones.

Goldman Sachs & Co, located in Dallas, TX seeks a Vice President within the Merchant Banking Division's Real Estate team. The Real Estate team supports real estate investing across multiple product types across the US. This includes sourcing, underwriting and due diligence, acquisitions, asset management, construction and development oversight, financings and dispositions for the firm's real estate investments.
The primary role of Construction is investment oversight for real estate investments (debt and equity) with a significant development and construction component across all asset classes.

RISK
The Risk division is responsible for credit, market and operational risk, model risk, independent liquidity risk, and insurance throughout the firm.
RISK
The mission of Risk Division is to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate and manage the firm’s financial and operational risks (including reputational risk) in support of the firm’s strategic plan, and in a manner consistent with the objectives set out in the firm’s Board-approved Risk Appetite Statement. Through comprehensive processes, which include critical analysis, evaluating stress scenarios, dynamically managing risk, and prudently balancing risk and reward, the Risk Division plays a critical 2nd line of defense role.
LIQUIDITY RISK (LR)
Liquidity Risk is the independent risk management function responsible for identifying, quantifying, and managing the liquidity risk of the firm. We work closely with Corporate Treasury, Controllers, Operations, Securities Division, and the broader Risk organization to provide independent risk assessment and oversight of the firm’s liquidity risk taking. Key functions include:
- Stress Testing: Methodology development, model creation and governance, assumption review and approval, and risk measurement
- Regulatory Stress Metrics, Liaison, & Advocacy: Calculation and disclosure of key regulatory stress metrics, guidance and rule interpretation, engagement with global regulators, and policy advocacy
- Risk Limit Governance: Setting liquidity risk appetite, calibration of risk limits, sign-off on limits frameworks, and ongoing monitoring of limit utilization and remediation
- Governance & Reviews: Ongoing evaluation of compliance with key regulatory regimes, new activity impact assessments and approvals, engagement with key committees and governing bodies, and maintenance of key policies and procedures
- Risk Oversight: Monitor, govern, and challenge various liquidity and funding execution activities, including cash & collateral management, funds transfer pricing, balance sheet usage, liquidity and funding projections, and liability management
- Active and ongoing engagement with risk taking businesses to understand, monitor, and govern liquidity risk
- Direct engagement with the Chief Risk Officer and global regulators regarding material risks, current risk exposures, and limits governance

About the team:
IBD Engineering is responsible for development and support of systems used by the flagship Investment Banking Division to execute M&A and financing companies through debt and equity offerings such as Bond New Issuances and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). The applications we deliver support all aspects of advisory deal origination and execution. This includes client targeting, ideas generation, relationship management, pitching, market analytics, deal execution, book building, fund management and revenue reporting. The team is currently based in New York, London and Bangalore, and work closely with business users globally in eliciting end-user requirements all the way through to analysis, design, implementation and rollout of new solutions. The team is responsible for building applications to digitize all stages of lifecycle of IBD deals such as Corporate Loans and Equity transactions. The team is closely aligned to the business unit it supports having considerable interaction with Front Office Bankers, CFOs, Syndicate Desk, sales professionals, middle-office and back-office Operations staff. The nature of the global business lends itself to high-profile transactions and visibility within the organization.
